Review: All Quiet on the Western Front is a novel set during World War One and is told from the perspective of a young German soldier named Paul Bäumer. The book details his experiences with the war and his grappling of PTSD before there was a true diagnosis for the disorder. This book remains one of my favorite books of all time. I found each character present in the novel to be realistic and it was hard to put the book down after starting it! Highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys history and military history.

Review: A story depicting the tragic lives of a Mexican mother and her child, fleeing the cartel that have ruined everything they hold dear to come to America. While fictional, this book is rooted in fact and will make you connect and feel for the main characters - all of which face tremendous suffering and hardship. Truly a must-read.

Review: This amazing book is about the journey of finding “real” friends. The main character of this book, Shannon, loses her childhood friend to a popular girl group at school. Though this group is the most popular, everyone in it secretly hates each other. This is because everyone in it wants to be Jen’s (leader of the group) favorite. Shannon needs to find a way to find her “real“ friends in this toxic mess of a friends group.

Review: When fifteen-year-old Lina is dragged away from her home in Lithuania by Soviet soldiers and forced into a cramped cattle car, she, her mother, and her younger brother are separated from her father. In her fight for survival, Lina uses her drawings to document her journey and attempt to contact her father. This novel had me hooked from the start. It is written beautifully and tells a story that has gone untold for too long. I highly recommend this book because it taught me about an issue that I didn’t even know had happened, and was impossible to put down.

Review: The Book Thief is a coming of age novel set during the second World War. This book follows the perspective of a young teenage German girl and the novel is narrated wholly by Death. The book is both funny and despairingly sad at times. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested by the World War Two genre and themes concerning the Holocaust.

Review 1: This book is about Madeline, a 17-year old who lives with a disease called SCID that restricts her from getting out of her house and living a “normal life.” However, things change when she falls in love with her next door neighbor Olly. This book is amazing and contains wonderful romance between the two characters and I would definitely recommend it for others to read. ____________ Review 2: This book was a great historical fiction book to read. In this book, the main character Cristian Florescu faces the struggles of communism in Romania. He faces issues with trust because of the spies that linger around, creating an ominous sense of surveillance and censorship. This story contains a little bit of romance, violence, plot twists, and history. Ruta Sepetys did a beautiful job of showing communism in Bucharest through this story, and I really enjoyed reading it.

Review 1: Fahrenheit 451 is a book set in a future where books are forbidden. The main character is a man named Guy Montag, whose job is to start fires. Central to the story is the theme of censorship, which is used to control the information that citizens consume. While the novel is initially slow it starts to pick up later. Some readers may notice parallels with the author's other novel 1984. Fans of the dystopian genre will enjoy this book. ____________ Review 2: I enjoyed reading Fahrenheit 451 for many reasons. The book takes place in a futuristic society where all books are banned, and discusses the dominance of technology. Readers who enjoy dystopian/ modern novels would love this book, and many of the ideas can be related in some way to society today.

Review: FOLLOW ME by Alexander K.R. is a novel that is horror fiction. The plot of this book was about a kid and his parents who moved into this huge house in a new town that was considered haunted. The kid made two new friends that love telling scary stories about the house, but when they're gone, their stories might not actually be fake. They're actually true because the girl that haunts that house, comes back for the kid, and his friends. They try to see how to stop her, but it's hard when she follows them everywhere.

Review: I liked this novel written by Shelley as it really holds the reader's attention and how it uses fictional elements to develop the characters. This book would be great for people who like to read stories of science fiction, as it was the first one ever created. Shelley is also a phenomenal author who wrote many novels throughout her life.

Review: In the book Animal Farm, the author uses a group of farm animals to tell a deeper story about power, corruption, and the consequences of revolutions. Drawing direct parallels to the Russian Revolution, the book invites readers to compare the two, and is a must read for its engaging storytelling and thought provoking themes.

Review: As a baseball fan, I enjoyed reading Cheated: The Inside Story of the Astros Scandal and a Colorful History of Sign Stealing very much. Many people, including myself have questioned the Houston Astros 2017 World Series Championship, as multiple players on the team were cheating. The book is an in-depth analysis of this scandal, and was an interesting read for me throughout its entirety. The book also discusses the history of cheating throughout Major League Baseball, and how it has developed over time. I would recommend this book to all baseball fans!

Review: In a Court of Thorns of Roses, Feyre, a teenage impoverished human girl accidently stumbled across a supernatural wolf while hunting, and killed it. In retribution for her crimes, the immortal creature Tamlin took Feyre away from her hometown, and forced her to inhabit the supernatural territory of Prythian for the rest of her life. Throughout the book, Feyre's hatred of Tamlin shifts to a burning love. When I was reading this book I couldn't put it down, because I was so interested in what happened next. I recommend this book to people who like supernatural books, and romance novels.

Review: Great Expectations is a novel set in the early 18th century that follows the story of Pip, who is an orphan boy who dreams of becoming a gentleman. This novel explores the themes of class, ambition, and social injustice. I personally thought this novel was very slow at the beginning, however the book began to pick up pace and the rest of the book was a fun read. I would recommend this book to intermediate or advanced readers who appreciate classic literature. Overall Great Expectations is an exciting read and timeless classic.

18) Scythe
Series
Notes
In this futuristic society, everyone has been made immortal. There's only one way to die, to be killed by a Scythe. Scythes are people chosen to *** others in order to control the population. The book is told through the alternating points of view of the two main characters Citra Terranova and Rowan Damisch. Citra and Rowan are each assigned to a professional scythe as their apprentices. This book covers heavy topics such as death and the morality of murder. I highly enjoyed this book as it was an entertaining read and hard to put down once started!

Review 1: If you want to read a book that takes you to another world, show you secrets of untold, and learn about mythology, Percy Jackson and the Olympians - The Lightning Thief is a perfect book. It will shock you, and make you want to read the other books in the series. If this book doesn't fit any person's excitement levels, I don't know what book will. | Review 2: The book is about Percy Jackson who is an average 12 year old boy. After an eventful field trip to the museum Percy learns that he is a demigod. He gets sent to a special camp for demigods called Camp Half-Blood. During Percy's stay at camp he learns that Zeus' lightning bolt has been stolen and that he is the main suspect. To prove his innocence and bring peace to Mount Olympus, Percy and his friends have to find Zeus' lightning bolt. I recommend this book to anyone who likes Greek Mythology or funny but serious books.

It Ends With Us by Colleen Hover is a fascinating story. A girl meets a *** doctor and falls all over heels for him as she still is in forbidden love with her first love since she was fifteen years old while she is exploring the relationship she has with the doctor his actions start to bring up memories from her childhood, not the good kind. This is only a little part of Lily's big story. I love this book because it has a crazy plot, bringing out all the different emotions.
